History
Established over 30 years ago, Great Northern Equipment Distributing, Inc. beginnings were in a small building in Nisswa, MN. Our base business started with Honda engine sales and expanded to incorporate commercial quality power equipment lines. Now based in Rogers, MN, GNE has grown to become Honda's largest Engine Distributor in the United States. In addition, we distribute over 50 lines of commercial quality power equipment and parts to the Rental and Reseller markets.
1985
Great Northern Equipment
GNE becomes a Honda engine distributor.
1996
Great Northern Equipment
GNE moved from Nisswa, MN to Roger's, MN.
2003
Great Northern Equipment
GNE purchased Powerhouse, Inc., DBA North Central Distributing.
The purchase expanded GNE’s Honda engine territory to include North Dakota and South Dakota.
2006
Great Northern Equipment
GNE moves into our current location at Diamond Lake Industrial Center.
2017
Great Northern Equipment
GNE acquires an additional 40,000 sq ft. of warehouse space to support our growth.
2019

GNE acquires an additional 30,000 sq ft. of warehouse space to support our growth.
